LUCID TOURING 18 day, life-changing, shamanic based travels in Peru for groups of 16. 10% of your trip fees go to supporting projects such as building and maintaining greenhouses and kitchens (to feed children who walk 2 - 3 hours to school each way), buying satellite telephones for hard to reach mountain villages and supplying blankets to freezing mountain communities.
Journey of the Andean spiritual path.
Slow down, step back in time and open your heart in Peru.

The warm Peruvian people, breathtaking mountain views and ancient ruins are enough reasons to visit Peru, but if you really want a life changing experience you’ll travel with me and explore stunning sacred sites with transformational energy and experience authentic shamanic ceremonies to help you find inner peace and reconnect with the beautiful mother earth.

In 18 days you will have the adventure of flying into Cusco over the snow-capped mountains from Lima and immediately retreating to a beautiful hotel that supports an education centre and orphanage in the sacred valley. The first night we will have a welcoming fire ceremony to let go of all the travelling energy and start the trip with a clean slate.
The ritual area of Pisac, where we will ceremonially honour the water, is found in the hills above the best market town you will have the pleasure of exploring. The Sacred Valley stretches for a hundred kilometres between Pisac and Machupicchu and includes many towns and monuments that were built during the Empire of the Incas.

One of the many Inca communities is Tástayoc where we will spend a day providing children who walk 2 – 3 hours to school each day with new school supplies, shoes, hot chocolate and bread. Twenty percent of your trip costs go towards the Path of the Heart Charity who we will be working with. This is one of the most fulfilling days of giving back, and a great opportunity to communicate with and photograph the local people.

The ruins at Ollantaytambo sit spectacularly over the town with 140 meter high Incan mythological figures sculpted into the mountains. On the orphanage site nearby, we will have a despacho ceremony, and you will learn how to make your own offering to the Pachamama (the mother earth).

Moray is a magical place with natural depressions in the earth that were terraced and used to grow different varieties of corn. In this spiritual huaca (which means sacred place that in energy and beauty is superior to the rest...there are a lot of huaca’s that we will visit) we will have the air ceremony. Later we will take a leisurely hike to the impressive salt flats at Maras in preparation for hiking at altitude in Machupicchu.

Getting to Machupicchu takes you on one of the most scenic train rides through the mountains. We’ll arrive at Aguas Calientes, the town at the base of Machupicchu. You will have time to explore the town and dine before we gather as a group at night and enjoy private thermal baths where we will learn some basic watsu techniques and have a rebirthing ceremony.

The next day begins early with a sunrise initiation ceremony and connection with the sun, high in the ruins of the Citadel of Machupicchu. The Great Inca meant Son of the Sun. Here we will explore the ruins with our fantastic and knowledgeable guide. You can receive a Machupicchu stamp in your passport! We return the next day to Cusco via Chinchero where there is a gorgeous cathedral, market and more huaca’s.

Surrounding Cusco are some of the most amazing ruins and huaca’s. My favourite is Saqsayhuaman, which is the head of the puma which was the shape that Cusco was originally built. The tradition said this was where the guardian spirits lived. The head of the puma represented the head of the Empire, or place of superhuman power. Massive great walls of enormous stones are placed together so tightly without mortar it has been identified as a fortress, House of Weapons and War and also as a Temple for prayer and sacrifice.

Qenqo is another astonishing sanctuary where it is possible to go into the belly of the mother. Here we feel the three worlds of the Kaypacha, the world we live in symbolised by the puma, the Ukhupacha, or the underworld symbolised by a serpent, and the Hananpacha, the upper-world of eternity and Gods symbolised by the condor.

We will also visit Tambomachay, the source of underground water. If you bathe in this water you will have skin like a baby! Probably a fountain of youth mythology, but I was certainly happy to give it a go! To this day they have never discovered the source of this natural flow. Finally we will go inside the Temple of the Moon and see remnants of the archetypes sculpted there. It´s a wonderful place to meditate and do some group toning!
In the middleof our travels we will head out to Puerto Maldonado, to the Rio Madre which runs off of the great Amazon River. We will take a two hour motorised canoe trip to reach our lodging in teh beautiful Eco-Centre built for Westerners, in the depths of the high Amazon jungle. There we will have stunning guided walks through the jungle, over to see the wild monekys who love to come and visit, and you will have the opportunity of participating in Ayahuasca ceremonies (this is optional).
After four days we return to Cusco. Our last excursion however, takes us to the Temple of Wiracocha in Racchi about 125 kilometers outside of Cusco. It is a monument of volcanic stones close to the now extinct volcano of Quinsachata.
Our final day you will have time to wander the quaint cobbled streets of Cusco and peruse the San Pedro Market and endless shops. In the evening we will have gifting ceremony where we will all exchange small gifts of love.

The following day we return to Lima and catch our flights home.
Each day of our trip we will have time to share and process as a group. Peru is a magical place with beautiful, pure love energy and it simply changes people just by being there. “Something” happens. This is a perfect opportunity to bring a journal so you can record your new thoughts and feelings and take notes on all the incredible information you will be learning. The time to change is now. I look forward to travelling with all of you.

Here is some information about John of God:
João Teixeira de Faria, or João de Deus, as he is affectionately called in Brazil, is undoubtedly one of the most gifted and powerful spiritual healing mediums working in the world today. In the 48 years since he started his mission, it is estimated that he has healed hundreds of thousands of people. Seemingly, no disease is outside of his purview, not even those that conventional medical science holds to be incurable. He has healed people with aids, cancer, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, chronic arthritis, Parkinson’s and so on. His work has been scientifically documented by a number of medical teams from universities in different countries. These studies have produced fully documented cases that report miraculous healing from aids, cancer, multiple sclerosis and other so-called terminal diseases.1
Although medical science cannot as yet explain what is happening, there is no drought of researchers that come on a regular basis to observe the mysterious operations that are performed at the Casa de Dom Inácio. Why is it that no infections occur during the operations, despite the presence of hundreds of other sick people? And why is there so little blood when he is performing surgery apparently even without anaesthesia, on people that remain fully conscious during the procedure?
Watching these operations over time, one is forced to adopt a radically different paradigm of healing; one that not only encompasses the body, but also the soul. The healing modality employed at the Casa is actually one that is relatively widely adopted in Brazil. João is one of the many spirit mediums that dispense healing in many spiritist centers all over Brazil.
He is one of the few, however, who is fully unconscious during the incorporation, thus allowing the spirits to have full access to his body and mind. When asked if he can remember any of his healings, João will say that he is asleep and has no recollection of what transpired. This does not prevent him from incorporating over 30 different entities, most of them saints or doctors, long time deceased, who are capable of surgical and non-surgical procedures that defy current scientific understanding of the body. It is these spirit doctors, many of them with very specific skills that perform the healings. As João often declares, “Eu cura ninguem, quem cura e Deus" , “I have never healed anyone, it is God who heals ”.
Although the Casa is a non-religious, non-denominational organization and welcomes people from all beliefs, the guiding philosophy of the Casa is spiritism à la Allan Kardec. Within spiritism, spiritual healing is understood to be accomplished by advanced souls who continue their good works even on the other side of death. Their healing is the result of a soul collaboration on the part of the entities and the patient, with the entities lending themselves as vehicles for the grace of God to assist the healing soul to return to God and the path designated for this lifetime.
