Past Newsletters 2007

April 2007

I am pleased to announce the birth of my first newsletter from Lucid Training!
Welcome everyone...

Spring historically represents a time of new beginnings, birth, growth, celebrations, and ressurection.  As a child it meant the giant invisible Easter Bunny would hide my sister's and my own colourful and artistically dyed easter eggs around the house for us to find, which would eventually lead us to fantastic easter baskets overflowing with candy and chocolate bunnies.  It was a ritual of sorts, so much so that my mother (one of the giant invisible Easter Bunnies) sent me Easter baskets all through University.  Only, by that point the adventure of discovery was gone.  As a young child I remember the thrill of finding an egg and the clue that went with it.  I loved figuring out where we needed to go next and wondering where it would ultimately lead us.  One year the hunt lead each of us right back to our bedrooms where we each began.  Even then I thought, "wow, full circle!"  Maybe those easter egg hunts formed part of my early initiation into what would become my lifelong process of self discovery.  Go on a journey of adventure, guided by an invisible archetype, and come back to myself, full circle, all the sweeter for it!

Interestingly enough the rabbit or hare (invisible or otherwise) as an animal totem represents birth and fertility.  In Egyptian hieroglyphics it is associated with the concept of being.  It is one of the twelve Chinese astrological signs, considered most fortunate and giving people born under it the abilities to possess the powers of the moon.  Therefore it is connected to a lunar cycle and so, if a rabbit comes into your path you may pay attention to a 28 day cycle beginning to manifest around you.  Due to their movement they also symbolise that things can happen in giant leaps and hops.  Think about how babies grow, in rapid spurts...or teenagers for that matter!  If you've been in a slow period of limbo or not too much movement in your life, spring can be the time when things suddenly leap into action.  The weather shifts, new energy comes in along with fresh motivation, and we start to clean out our closets which quite literally clears up space for new opportunities to come in.

Spring cleaning can be something we do for ourselves energetically, physically, emotionally and psychologically.  It can be a wonderful time to open our minds to new ways of thinking, to allow ourselves a fresh perspective or a new point of view.  We allow ourselves to get stuck because we hold onto our belief systems of the past, we hold the fears of our parents and recreate them in our children.  The earth itself is rebirthing, sprouting out fresh growth, mulching the winter earth to begin the process all over again.  This is a time to retrain our minds, to create new patterns in our thinking and behaviour, connect with our bodies and invigorate our energy bodies!  If you've been thinking about starting a detox, this may be the best time!  Make it easy for yourself, give up one thing for 28 days and see what difference it makes in your body.  It could completely transform your life!  This is a time of letting go of the past, of starting afresh.  It is a time to allow ourselves to become brand new and a good time to ground ourselves on a daily basis so that our new way forward doesn't feel too foreign in our very human desire for the habitual comfort zone of our being.

Any way you choose to ground yourself will be better than no way, as you are at least consciously stopping for a moment to connect to your body and the earth.  However, many of us prefer not to be in our limiting human form and would rather fly around in the ethers, weightless and flexible, timeless and free.  We can still choose to do that, however living on the earth is much easier if we can be fully in our bodies and connected to our beautiful pachamama.  So this is how I do it, if it is congruent for you, please adopt this as your own, or take sections of it, but please, like any process, make your grounding your own.

Visualise your beautiful life line of energy, a shimmering silver and gold woven cord shooting down from your navel into the very centre of our beautiful mother earth.  Wrap it around and around the hot, red lava centre of the pachamama and then bring all that gorgeous earth energy right up through your feet and up through your central chakra system (the very central core of your body, like a long narrow tunnel) and shoot it out the top of your head way, way up into the centre of the golden sun.  Wrap it around and around the centre of the white gold sun and then bring all that glorious light energy back down towards the top of your head. As you bring that energy back into your crown chakra, imagine a ghost body of yourself on that cord coming down into your physical body until you can feel your head click into your head, your shoulders into your shoulders, hips into your hips, knees into your knees and your feet firmly into your feet.  Then imagine your feet going into the earth (mine go into a jewelled beach), however, so you are not too heavily weighed down on the earth, imagine your energy sweeps up to your heart chakra so you are available energetically and lifted in a place of love to meet the day.  I do this by imagining a giant wave comes and washes all my energy up to my heart.  Then you are connected to heaven and earth, fully in your body, feet firmly planted in the ground, yet energetically available and coming from a place of love.

If you are an energy worker, healer or therapist of any kind, it is really a great idea to ground yourself fully after every client.  If you're prone to leaving your body at night or astral travelling, ground yourself before bed and set your intention to stay there so you can sleep peacefully and not be exhausted when you wake up!

Whatever your animal totem is, or favourite archtype or familiar, be it a giant invisible Easter Bunny or a powerful black jaguar in disguise as your family pet, call on her energies to help you leap forward into spring, into new beginnings and possibilities to make this the most creative and fertile cycle of your next full circle adventure of self discovery.

Theta Healing can help make this process much easier.  Theta is a slower brain wave which allows us greater potential for self healing and releasing deeply held limiting belief systems usually held out of conscious awareness.  Combined with shamanic energy medicine (or any other healing modality) theta is a profound and rapid way to clear your past and give you the kick-start you need to help you leap into spring with clarity and a new sense of balance.  Check out my website www.lucid-training.com for more information on courses and private appointments.  Create your own ritual this spring, or resurrect an old one!  Whatever you do, start something new, the time is NOW!  Happy Spring.

With love, light and clarity,

Shannon O'Flaherty (and the Easter Bunny)

May 2007

Happy May! I was thinking about the word MAY, and how many of us say and live in MAYBE. May is a permission word, it means expressing possibility, a request, a wish.  MAY BE.  What are we waiting for?  Why are we hesitating?  What happened to our KNOWING?  We are so busy DOING everything to make what we want happen, when really, we need to start BEING all that we want so we can come back to a point of congruence within ourselves. We need to get back to our original KNOWING when we trusted our senses without hesitation.  In April we had new beginnings and planted the seeds of becoming, well, now we have to just BE with those seeds and let them develop.  We need to let go of our attachment to the outcome.  We need to remember how to find the way to be one with whatever we are doing.

Recently I had the beautiful experience of tapping into my innocent, free, Godly four year old self.  She was so content to just BE and sit in her Garden of Eden (which looked a lot like the Amazon Jungle) noticing all the leaves of the trees, different shapes and colours and the spaces between the greenery allowing the blue sky to shine through while the sound of the universe hummed to her.  She didn't need to talk, or write notes or think, she simply sat and soaked it all up, for it was part of her.  She was connected to everything.  This was a blissful meditative state of being which I then integrated into my current busier grown-up state, but it was like drip feeding myself pure joyfulness. I felt more connected to myself than ever before and it felt like being in love!  In love with my inner being! When is the last time you just simply sat with yourself?  Felt your own heart beat pulse with that of the beautiful mother earth?

In considering the state of being straddling the fine line of doing I thought about the BEE.  Bees have been mythical symbols for centuries and have been associated with love, royalty, hidden wisdom, sexuality and fertility. They are symbolic representatives of accomplishing the impossible.  They actually taste through their legs, knowing if the flower it lands on has nectar in it, so they are very in touch with their feelings!  This is why they are such great workers.  Bees remind us that activities are more productive and sweeter if we take time to enjoy them.  Their hives are six-sided hexagonal shapes which symbolise the heart, sun and all the energies that go with it. Life, love, warmth, growth. The bee reminds us that no matter how great the dream, there is the promise of fulfillment if we pursue it.

So what is your dream?  So many people fall into a job which then becomes their identity.  So many people fall into relationships which then become their family!  Bees are decisive and productive builders.  What part of your dream do you want to build on?  What part of your dream have you forgotten?  Have you ever really known your dream?  How can we BE if we don't really know who we are? We don't know how to feel our true feelings because we have spent most of our lives pleasing other people.  So we become detached to our true selves, our dreams and purpose and attached to what the material world demands of us.  We conform.  We put on a suit every day and follow the rules as our eyes become glazed and our passion gets zapped.  Then one day on the tube someone bumps into us and without warning our stinger strikes out in anger, and all that really serves is to kill off another little part of our free child self.  The light filled lovely connected to all that is, one with the life force of nature.  Nature.  Not cement.

Lately the weather has been inviting everyone out to re-connect with the earth.  You can do this exercise anywhere, but if at all possible go find a somewhat secluded peaceful place in nature and create a sacred space for yourself.  You can make a circle of flowers or stones or bring a smudge stick (a bunch of herbs that burn, and the smoke is used to cleanse) or sprinkle wine around, or your favourite perfume, however you choose, do it with clear beautiful intent of honouring the earth and giving yourself a protected lovely space in which to re-connect.  You can say a prayer or open sacred space however you wish, to call on the spirits of nature.  Then sit in it. Or lay in it, whatever is comfortable for you.  If you are doing this at home you can pretend you are in a beautiful place in nature.  Everyday since re-connecting with my four year old self I am back in the Amazon Jungle, and it is beautiful.  Set your intent, that you will connect with your true self and just BE.  Allow your feelings and sensations to flow uninhibited.

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, in and long slow out.  Relax.  Feel the ground, listen to the sounds around you.  Connect to your first chakra, your root chakra, the vortex of energy spinning between your privies.  Allow yourself to focus there and notice what you feel, do you get a colour with it, a shape?  When you are no longer receiving any information breathe in the earth up to your second chakra,  just below the belly button.  Tune in and see what you discover.  How is the feeling different?  Go with whatever you are feeling. Allow yourself to remember. Then move up to the third chakra at your solar plexus.  Feel your emotions centered there, how does it register in your body, has the colour changed?  Move up to your heart chakra right in the middle of your chest.  Can you feel your heart beat in unison with the earth?  Move your awareness up to your throat and notice how your feelings change, what thoughts are coming to you?  After that go up to your third eye, between your eyebrows on your forehead and focus on the sensations that come to you there and finally move up to your crown chakra, the energy on top of your head.  What do you feel here?  Allow all the earth energies to seep upwards through you, up through each of your chakra centres and out into the sky.  Breath deeply.  How do you feel in yourself?  This is a focussed meditation of BEING, but you can do this anytime and just relax in the loving embrace of mother earth and go with the flow of your memories.  There are no rules in your protective sacred space of being.

If we can allow ourselves to re-connect with our physical selves and actually feel the subtleties of our own emotions we will be able to more fully engage in every aspect of life thereafter, reacting less to the stresses and demands and paying more attention to our true inner workings and what is really important, feeling joyful no matter what we are doing, so even the demands of life will just help us bootleg our own sweet honey-bee nectar of life force energy and help each of us this May, BE.

Give yourself permission. BE-AUTIFUL!

June 2007
I would like to thank everyone who supported me at the London Mind Body Spirit Festival over the bank holiday weekend in May.  It was so wonderful to see so many people both old friends and new.  For those of you I didn't have time to connect with properly or share a heart to heart hug, I do apologise, as you could see, it was all VERY INTENSELY BUSY!!!  A special public thank you to my AMAZING front of stand promoters Caroline Flexman (www.visionintoaction.co.uk), Susie Joyce, Dan Kahn, Jazz Rasool (www.energydiamond.com), Izzy and Carina Coen where I see clients at her beautiful space at 56 Seymour Street, Marble Arch (www.mercarina.com). Also thanks to Christina Tett for your time and referrals. I seriously could not have done this festival without all of your help and I am deeply grateful.  I felt very loved and supported, people came out of the woodwork to help me, giving of their time and energy because they believe in the work I am doing.  But I realised it was also because of the energy that I have been putting out, not just to others, but myself.  April's newsletter was all about birth and new beginnings, May was about being.  Naturally I have had my own new beginnings and process of just being and it occurred to me one day that I was actually content!  That doesn't mean that the passion and drive to proceed further is over, or that everything in life is as great as it gets, far from it!  What it means is that I came to a level of acceptance about how things are right now.  Today, this minute.  Yes, it could be better, but it's actually okay how it is for now.  Nothing was stressing me, or eating away at me, I realised I was ALLOWING the perfection of the moment to be just what it was.

So many people say to me, 'I've soul searched, I'm open, I've asked, really put it out there to the universe and I'm ready to receive so why isn't it happening?!'  It all comes down to allowing it to happen.  I have been stuck in this vicious circle myself many times.  It's part of the letting go of control of how we think things are supposed to be.  Part of the human condition is that so many of us take responsibility for everyone else's stuff.  I hear it from every client.  "She makes me feel a certain way, he does that, if they wouldn't be so..." and the list goes on.  What it actually comes down to is allowing other people's stuff to stay with them.  We all take each other's stuff so personally, when really each of us has a choice as to how we are going to feel about any situation.  When my youngest teenager who's 13 now, falls asleep on the couch and I have to wake him up to get him into bed, he is really grumpy.  It used to be annoying to me because I just didn't think he needed to be that way.  But now, I know that's just how he is and so I actually kind of find it amusing.  It enables me to be much more loving with him because I can leave his grumpiness with him, and don't take it personally.  He's half asleep anyway, so he doesn't know much about it!  I share a house with my ex partner so that we can parent together.  I live in the coach house, and of course am in London half my time.  We had a proper two year break but both of us want to be with our children so we came up with this arrangement.  Is it my ideal living circumstances?  Well, where the kids are concerned yes, and Bob and I are good friends and have worked through our differences.  It is not conventional but why start now?  He mentioned the other day that all the things I used to bitch about don't seem to bother me anymore.  I laughed and said, "Oh, those things are all still there, I am just choosing not to focus on them because I have made my choice to live here and I want to do that in harmony."  It was a conscious choice on my part because there were a few moving back home adjustments that made me question my choices!  I leave his stuff with him.  I do not take it on, I do not let it simmer inside me until it blows up over something trivial.  I simply choose not to put my energy there. Relationships are what hook us. I have two teenage sons, a wide variety of friends and family, students and clients... it takes practice.  Daily practice.

If anything remotely negative happens to me, I look at what kind of energy I am putting out to attract it!  I have allowed the negativity to come to me.  In taking responsibility for MY OWN stuff, energetic or otherwise, allows me to stay in my centre, love myself more and allow other people to be who they are.  If everyone would take responsibility for their own stuff we would have a world considerably freer of judgment, blame, and guilt.  Not too surprisingly, not much negativity comes my way anymore and this recent Mind Body Spirit Festival really drummed that home to me.  You get back what you give out not just to others, but to yourself as well.  It might not always come to you the same way as you put it out, but energy is magnetic.  What we say, think and do goes out into the universal energy grid at some level, consciously or unconsciously and that's exactly what we attract back to ourselves.

That inspires me to speak of the Hummingbird, one of the archetypes connected to my shamanic lineage with the Q'uero Incan Indians of Peru. They are fascinating, colourful, small birds with long beaks who fly everywhere.  Their wings make a humming sound as they move in a figure eight pattern, a symbol for infinity that links to the past and future and the laws of cause and effect.  Their relationship with flowers is also cause and effect as they could not live without the nectar and some flowers could not live without their pollination.  The hummingbird can hover, fly forwards, sideways and even backwards reminding us to explore our past and draw nectar from it to live with joy now.  Some hummingbirds migrate annually from Alaska to Central America 2,500 miles or more!  They don't worry about how they're going to get there!  They know they can accomplish that which seems impossible.  The journey each of us makes is the practice. If we model the hummingbird we can find the miracle of joyful living from our own life experiences. They can teach us to travel in stillness, to hover and allow that which is around us to be how it is.

So how do we practice allowing other people's stuff to stay with them?  NOTICE.  Notice when your emotions come up.  Notice your upset, anger, impatience, sorrow, frustration or whatever it is.  Just notice.  Then stop and breathe, take a sip of water if you can.  Then make a conscious choice: Am I going to put my energy into being angry and do what I always do? Or am I going to do something else, ANYTHING else to break that pattern?  This doesn't mean that you have to choose to be happy about it right then and there, it means to do something else to break your natural habitual response pattern.  It could mean opening the front door to get some air, or making a cup of tea.  The point is, you have noticed your emotions; now are you going to dive into them and swim in that turbulent sea or choose to practice putting your energy somewhere else?  I used to scream, growl and curse when I was frustrated, once I noticed (and my behaviour had to be pointed out to me, more than a few times!) I changed my response to hysterical laughter...okay yes, I did appear rather psychotic for a while, but the laughter felt much better than the screaming.  Eventually I didn't want to put so much energy into the laughter either so over time and practice it mellowed out to the point of the little things just not frustrating me any longer, which is I guess, why it's possible to partly share a house with my ex!  Did it happen overnight?  No.  Do I practice everyday?  Yes.  People have excuses for all sorts of things.  That's fine...  What do you want to allow for yourself?  Personally?  I want it all!  As I allow myself to have more clarity, awareness, acceptance, self-love, I find these beautiful things are coming to me more and more easily.  When they're not and something is blocked, that's the gift ... that's the wake-up call to see what I need to let go of, to be, so I can allow.  Theta healing makes this process easier because it interrupts the brain receptor cell so you are not wired up the way you have been your whole life and trapped in your habitual behavioral response patterns. It gives you a choice at the cellular level.  But like the path in the woods, you need to keep choosing the new patterns or beliefs so they won't grow back. Ah, practice makes perfect!

Practice allowing your own inner sunlight to shine this June.

With love, light and clarity,

Shannon
July 2007
Do you have a pink elephant standing in your living room?  It is almost amusing that the elephant in my living room has been writing this newsletter for me! He and I have been having a few debates over when (amongst the various trips to London and an emergency trip to the States) would be the best moment to sit down and compare notes... hence, the late arrival of the July issue.  Whatever the circumstances in your life, you will find that what you resist, persists!

If it is a lack of patience, you will continually attract situations to test your patience until you finally get it!  If you are resisting forgiveness, you will stay angry and bitter for as long as you hold onto that anger.  If you resist doing something you need to do (I believe most of us refer to it as procrastination), there is a nagging feeling, continually adding to the momentum of stress, that remains until you do it!  You've heard the expression “never put off ‘til tomorrow what you can do today”.  The time is now.  Now is the moment to make the phone call, apologise, tell the truth, express your love, call your mother, write your monthly newsletter … or whatever that pressing thing is!

Elephants as a totem have to do with ancient strength and power.  When we are avoiding something, we are not fully using our strength to stay centered and keep our focus.  If you feel pressured, call on elephant energy to help you tap into your resolve and strength to help you go with the flow of whatever it is that you are resisting.

We all get so caught up in the outcome that sometimes we think we have to control the process of getting there as well!  Letting go of resistance is true control because that is the process of surrendering to the natural flow of things: of letting go of control over HOW something is to happen.  This is a key factor in manifesting anything!

So if you have a pink elephant standing in your living room, offer him some peanuts and take him to a different room, or outside for a walk, creating a new kind of space to allow a new flow, a new process to break you free from resisting whatever is in your way.

We resist change because our comfort zone is what we know and it feels safe there, but it is not necessarily the best place for us to be, especially if there's no room on the couch because of that elephant in the way!  Theta Healing helps unlock those resistances so that you no longer feel trapped in your natural habitual response.  Face yourself now.  Join a Theta DNA 1& 2 class for a life-changing experience and gain a powerful healing tool you can use to help yourself reach your highest potential.

With practice you can get that pink elephant to load the dishwasher for you!

With love, light and clarity,

Shannon

I look forward to hearing from you soon!  In the full of the summer, let's bloom!

September 2007

The time is changing; we are in transition again, not just seasonal but spiritually.  There is a shift happening.  I was just in the USA this summer and asked a friend if she was still attending church.  "Oh, we take a break from Memorial Day to Labour Day...but we're about to go back, now that summer's over."  "What's that then," I asked, "seasonal spirituality?"  We laughed, but it is true.

I too have taken breaks from the continual soul searching, studying, changing my belief systems - after all, we are only human.  Seasons do affect us. In the summer things slow down and in the autumn that urgency of all that has been undone in the summer takes over and we begin another academic year.  The kids return to school, we buy new clothes, or pack away the old ones, we prepare for the long haul of winter.

So what is the best thing to do in this preparatory stage?  Ideally we are NOT leading up to hibernation!  NOW is the time to invest in yourself!  What have you been waiting for?  The best season to embrace your own spiritual awareness or lack of it is RIGHT NOW!  And EMBRACING it is exactly what we need to do, whether you feel you are the most ashamed, depressed and horrible person in the world, or the happiest and most loving, or somewhere inbetween (where most of us wade), it's time to look in the mirror and face up to all that we are.

I have had a few insights recently to my own shadows that I have had to embrace.  It's taken me a long time to embrace England, but each trip to the States reminds me how less and less American I am with each passing year.  Also how MUCH England has offered me in the way of opportunites and growth and forcing me to find my OWN way in the world rather than comfortably or mindlessly following behind my parent's or country's mindset of how things should be.  It occurred to me this past trip "home" that next year I will have lived outside of the USA longer than in it!!  My relationship with my homeland feels strange to be so familiar yet simultaneously so foreign to me each time I go there. It's a cellular memory.

This is exactly what belief systems are like: cellular memory of how things used to be.  It is a way of behaviour or response that we are always prone to reverting back to to, but if we practice long enough going another way, soon it will become foreign.  I had the giggles one morning over the word "oatmeal", when my father said it...I say "porridge" and hadn't swirled the oatmeal sound around in my mouth for 19 years!  It was familiar, like a distant memory, but foreign.

Guilt, blame, anger, judgement...these can also become foreign concepts to you.  Surround yourself with love.  Practice loving, giving, and forgiving thoughts every day and make the stress in your life disintegrate.

There were a lot of squirrels in the States.  They are masters at preparing, but can also teach us that work and play go hand in hand.  They are extremely observant and imitative. If you can find the balance between spiritual soul searcing and making it fun, you've got it made!  That's all about living each moment and noticing the signs every step of each day.  It is like being in a walking meditation, being conscious, observant, modelling after people you admire and practicing the things they do.  That's how we actively re-wire our brains to change our habitual behaviour and finally notice one day that all is well in our world.  It is much less anticlimatic than you think!

Baby steps folks, to celebrate each positive thing you notice about yourself that you have changed.  Theta can can give you a jump start at the cellular level and then top it off with a shamanic energy field clearing, and you will feel the difference, the lightness of your soul, the gentleness of your response to yourself and others, the forgiveness in your heart.

You can learn Theta for yourself. It is one of the most powerful healing modalities I have found that can be used in conjunction with every thing else out there.  Add Theta to your tool box of self improvement.  Gather pinecones! We are going to light the fire of motivation to become the best we can possibly be this month!  Burn out all the old stale energy and breathe in all the new fresh light.  Shamanically we make death arrows: grab a stick and in one end blow in 3 things (personal to you) that you want to let out of your life, and in the other end, (now that you have created some space by letting go of 3 things) blow in 3 things that you would like to come into your life.  They must be personal to you. They cannot have anything to do with anyone else.  Then, with intention and prayer, put it into a fire and watch it burn completely.  Fire combusts energy to light.

Come on baby, light my fire....

See you at one of my talks and demos or in theta class soon!  Check out my website
www.lucid-training.com for my up to date schedule through the end of this year.

With love, light and clarity,
Shannon
October 2007
October brings us into the winter, into that crisp season of shorter days and longer nights, often when hibernation sets in. The fires are lit, blankets are dragged out and we go into that pale trance of routine until the holiday party season starts in December. Theta and Shamanic Energy Medicine are all about preventing ANY dis-ease to set in, and helping us shift the habitual stuff that has already got its hooks in to us. Maybe it’s just a feeling or a mindset that we always have around this time of year and we hardly notice it, yet this mindset is the very thing that sets us up for how we deal with whatever life offers up to us along the way.
This month brings about wonderful opportunities for my own ever evolving personal development. Originally I thought I was going to the Peruvian Amazon but that got postponed, so as I had already set aside time from my business for life transformation, I decided I would go to see the amazing healer called John of God (look him up on the internet!) in Brazil. I have my own ideas about why I am going there, but what I have learnt from the past is that travel of any kind usually delivers an experience far more incredible than my dreams! So off into the unknown I go, open and ready to receive whatever great gifts are coming my way.
Not surprising that deer keep showing up for me! They are about gentleness and innocence and a gentle luring into new adventure. They are able to adapt to every kind of habitat and signify a return to the wilderness. Their antlers symbolise antennae, connections of higher forms of attunement. When deer enter your life or your dreams it is a time to look for new perceptions and degrees of perceptions to grow and expand increasingly over the next few years. This is a time to be gentle with yourself and others. Are you trying to force things? Are you being too critical and uncaring of yourself? This is a time to express gentle love that will open new doors of adventure....unless of course you choose to hibernate instead!
I will be out of the country from October 15th until November 20th. I will be available by email however during this time. When I return in December things will take off with a flourish once again as I will be offering the new theta class Manifesting and Abundance on December 15th and 16th in London. YOU HAVE TO HAVE HAD THETA 1 & 2 TO ATTEND MANIFESTING & ABUNDANCE! I’m telling you this now so that you have plenty of time to prepare as I will be offering Theta 1 & 2 December 7th, 8th, & 9th, in London and if you sign up for both of them together by November 24th you can save £100!
Remember if you have had Theta 1&2 with me before, if you bring a new student you can re-take my class for free, or come on your own and pay half price if you want a review.  December’s Theta class should be in a new format as I will have been to Vianna’s recertification and I believe there are new manuals and information. So make a commitment to yourself and decide to start next year with total clarity!
With love, light and clarity,
Shannon
November 2007
Well, I really have to laugh! By now most of you know that I am in Abadiania, Brazil visiting John of God, the amazing medium who incorporates a variety of spirits, they call Entities, and heals millions of people. Please check out www.friendsofthecasa.org if you haven’t already. So, I laugh, not because this place is so funny in the ha-ha sense, but more like in the miraculous, weird and wonderful sense! I feel completely rested yet simultaneously emotionally exhausted...I have a lightness of being and purity of happiness, yet I probably have never cried so much in any two week span in my life! We all laugh about that too! I’m more grounded than ever before, yet strangely when the Entities are working on me, it’s like my body is not my own. It is strange even by my standards! It is a place of holy surrender. It is a place of disintegration and rebirth. So, the other night I was walking back to my pousada, the house where I am staying, and there sitting squarely in my path was a big smiling frog. He was kind of cute as frogs go, but I resisted kissing him, I did however photograph him and he ‘ribbeted’ an opinion about that. So I looked up frog as a totem:
Frog/Toad: Frogs and toads symbolize feminine energy, fecundity, water, new life, new beginnings, the mystery of creation, cleansing, refreshing, purifying, refilling, clearing negativity, replenishment, positive energy, transformation, beginning a new cycle, long life, good luck, changing luck, starting new projects and prosperity. They are a Goddess symbol and are connected to the moon. They are connected to Heket, Isis, Hathor, Ch'ing-Wa Sheng, Aphrodite, Sabazius and Ahriman.
Again, why I laugh! This is truly the place of the frog! TRANSFORMATION. Not a big surprise as that’s essentially WHY I came here, and intellectually I knew that whatever my own personal reasons were, there would be much greater ones in store for me...and so I laugh at the wonderousness of it all. This is a spiritual wonderland! In the beautiful Brazilian heat and southern sky, I’m seeking space and solitude and allowing the changes to happen.
Shamanically frogs symbolise rain, so if you’re having some of that too, think of all that cleansing, rebirth, clearing out and starting fresh! Hmm, maybe I should have kissed that frog?! So I send you all some loving thoughts:
LOVE IS

Love is the only truth
It eagerly spills forth from our youth
Love is the only choice
The others are an alternative voice
Love is the bigger picture
Let it be a permanent fixture
Love is the full circle out of time
It fuels us with a touch, Divine
Love is the birth of trust
Willingly what we all must
Love is our rightful state of being
And a wonderful way of seeing
Love is life in action
Fully blossoming; no distraction
Love is particles in motion
The connective force of earth and ocean
Love is everywhere and everything
What we create; what we bring
Love is our sacred home
Whatever plains you may roam

December 2007

This holiday season take a moment to cherish all that is important to you. Take a moment to send out your wishes to the universe. Take a moment of gratitude for every wonderful person you know. Send out love for the planet so we can attract that back.  There is a full moon on Christmas Eve, an excellent time to have a fire ceremony. Put into it a list of everything you want to let go of, personal to you and another list of everything you would like to invite in for the new year. Fill your selves with love, now and always.
Sacred Wish
May God’s plan be restored on earth
May God’s children see the world re-birth
May the moon rise every night
And hold the feminine energy right
May the earth’s rich soil seed and grow
And let God’s waters purely flow
May the stars shine and shimmer high
And silhouette the crickets cry
May all God’s creature’s frolic free
Knowing they will always be
While vast seas and oceans have a gentle dance
Because the world is in full balance
The sun exhales its Godly rays
Socialising with rain and windy days
And all around the world unites
To form on bond, one love, that’s bright
PEACE.
